Local Businesses Guaranteed By Google

Service-based local businesses have the opportunity to invest in Local Service Ads (LSAs) to help connect consumers with the local services they need.

To take it a step further, if you sign up for Local Service Ads, you have the opportunity to obtain the Google badge.  Remember Angie’s List: the site in which Angie lists companies that they recommend? Google has made its own program that gives service-based businesses a “Google Guarantee” badge, AND they may even compensate unhappy customers.

As you can see in the example above, here are three locksmiths in Chicago that have been Google Guaranteed.

Did you know that Google unveiled “Google Guarantee” due to an increase of locksmith scams within the San Francisco area?

In order to help protect consumers, Google began the process of allowing select local service businesses to apply to showcase the Google Guarantee badge to enable better trust from local customers.

What does it mean to be Google Guaranteed?

  • The business has passed the Google screening and verification process through Local Service Ads

  • If a customer contacts your business through a Local Service Ad, and they are not satisfied with your work, Google may reimburse your customer. The reimbursement amount depends on your region. Find out more here.

Is Paid Search the same thing?

Search Ads is that Google Guarantee is only available on LSAs AND they are ranked higher in search results. For example, if someone is looking for a locksmith in Chicago, a local search ad will rank above any paid search or organic results.
